Abstract:

Concerning the optimal design of geodetic networks nowadays in Vietnam, both factual constructions and theoretical studies are mostly based on the standard of accuracy, the reliability, the sensitivity (in deformation monitoring) and the expended cost. Very few studies have applied the redundant level of measurement, especially the average one of the network measurement. This article analyzed the importance, the quality and the necessity of the redundant level of measurement in the optimal design of geodetic networks. Consequently, the method of calculating the redundant level of measurement has been suggested and considered as a standard in designing optimal networks. The factual calculations of optimal network design in building bridge construction were used to prove the study results
