Abstract:
The decentralized control structure for renewable energy systems set up by distributed sources, loads, and energy storage systems is mentioned in this paper. The dc bus voltage signal is used not only to enable power sharing among different sources, but also to designate Microgrid operation modes and facilitat eseamless mode transitions. With decentralized control strategy, this approach features fully selfdisciplined regulation of distributed converters without an extra control center or communication link. Therefore, both reliability and flexibility can be enhanced. Two operating conditions for solar cells and batteries are summarized according to which type of sources are dominating the power balance. The effectiveness of the proposed control structure is demonstrated by the simulation results for dcMicrogrid system with renewable energy sources as solar cells
