Abstract:

Thang Long - Dong Do oil field is located in Block 01/97 & 02/97 in the North East of Cuu Long Basin, 160 km away from the East of Vung Tau city, at a depth of 70m. The products from Thang Long-Dong Do will be transported to Lam Son FPSO by subsea pipeline. Recently, the water cut in exploited products in Thang Long-Dong Do oil field has increased significantly, which caused difficulties in transporting oil and gas. Therefore, it is necessary to have research on solutions to flow assurance. Normally, the working pipeline capacity depends on fluid’s physical and chemical properties, and flow regime… This article presents the results of research on flow regime, hydraulic and thermodynamic parameters…of oil and gas transportation pipeline from Thang Long-Dong Do to Lam Son FPSO by taking advantage of experimental equations. In addition, the article also proposes the use of OLGA software to model and analyse the results obtained during product transport. Based on that, suitable solutions to properly control the transportation pipeline from Thang Long - Dong Do platform to Lam Son FPSO in the future stage will be recommended
