Abstract:

Mining fire in underground mines causes serious consequences due to the generation of toxic gas threatening health and lives of workers, stagnating production, destroying the excavations... Hongthai Coal Company has been applying the method of building wall and separating band sand as well as chemicals. However, the results prove modest and do not speed up the rate of production in the spontaneous combustion conditions. Therefore, the method of pumping nitrogen gas into caving area to overcome these problems is very neccessary and feasible
