Abstract:

here is growing needs for web based GIS for easy and fast sharing, displaying and processing of spatial information which in turns helping in decision making for natural resources applications. This paper designed and developed a WebGIS application to provide online access to information to support environment and natural resource management. The system offers both digital geospatial data and information, incorporating text and multimedia elements, related to natural and man-made environment in PhuTho Province, Vietnam. Integrating the latest advances in web-based GIS techniques, the spatial natural resources information system is built around an interactive map, which allows anyone to identify, visualize, and query those datasets relevant to their interests.
