Abstract:

This paper presents the method of determining unit weight (), stress history (c), overconsolidation ratio (OCR), pressure coefficient (Ko), the cyclic modulus (Gd) and the cyclic stress ratio (CSR) in accordance with the CPTu results; simultaneously applied to clayey soils are distributed in Thanh Tri (Hanoi), Thuy Nguyen, Dinh Vu, (Hai Phong) and Thai Binh I Thermal power project. Initial results show that: determining unit weight by Larson method is suitable for soft soil; With soft soil k = 0,25; Gd =9 – 30Mpa; CSR = 0,1; With stiff soil, k = 0,1; Gd >200Mpa; CSR = 0,2
