Abstract:

The extraction of titanium ore in the central province of Binh Thuan will create deep pits in which sizes depend on the production rate of mines and the height of sand-bearing layers. One of the essential issues in the exploitation of this ore is to ensure a certain slope stability. Stability factor has a close relation with pit slope geometry parameters, including slope height, slope angle and slope shape. Thus, determining the parameters to ensure the stability with a specific value of stability factor is an essential issue for mine existence. The content of the research is to determine the relationship between the factors of safety and slope geometry parameters for titanium ore mines in Binh Thuan Province.
