Abstract:
At present, the Bach Ho Oil field is being developed in its declination period of reservoir energy. As a matter of fact, when the natural energy of reservoir decreases, various sophisticated issues may cause difficulty to the recovery of oil and gas. In order to solve this problem, miscellaneous methodologies have been adopted to maintain reservoir pressure, for example water flooding. Water flooding involves the injection of water at the bottom of a to create the pressure difference between the injection well and the reservoir at any point. This process helps to slowly reduce reservoir pressure, thus ensures the stability of long-term exploitation. In this article we introduce the water flooding technique applied for formations located in Basement, Miocene and Oligocene. In addition, comparative results and effectiveness evaluations of selective injection systems devoted to oil reservoirs at Bach Ho Oil field
