Abstract:

Currently, there are a lot of Engineering geological mapping conforming to various soil classification systems. Engineering geological mapping based on soil classification system conforming to petrographic and geological origin method suggested by International Association for Engineering Geology (IAEG) and UNESCO is a method with many advantages. The article presents a method of Engineering geological mapping on 1: 25000 scale map of coastal line zone of Hai Phong based on available Engineering geological map with scale 1:50000 and the results of engineering geology study on that area. The detail content includes: Soil classification system; presentation of soil classification and engineering geological factors on map; establishment of map legend and method of Engineering Geological mapping of scale 1: 25000 of the study area.
